Blast from the past.

My friend had a prom flashback on her blog and i'd thought it'd be fun so here we go. This picture was all us girlies at our senior prom. We did have dates but we got rid of them for one last picture of just the girls! The funny thing about this picture is all our sleezy dresses, what were out mothers thinking letting us out of the house?!? Those can't honestly be considered straps? They are invisible! And what's up with the gloves? And my candy necklace? Could i not afford REAL jewelry for my senior prom? WOW!! Of the 12 of us in this picture, 10 of us actually did go to the temple to get married! Who would've thunk it? If Jerzi or Libbi try to wear a dress like any of these pictured i'm pretty sure there daddio will be putting the kabosh on prom! But even worse, if they act like we did, I personally will slap them silly! We were soooo dumb!! We had alot of good times, i just wish we would've been a little smarter! We just went to dinner last night, as we do often. I'm glad we have all kept in touch so well. There was just 5 of us last night and between the 5 of us we counted up 14 kids! If we count everyone in the picture, we'd have 25 kids! (the one girl who i don't know why or how she's in the picture may have kids too but i don't know) How weird is that? Good thing the dads stay home with the kiddos while we go to dinner, that'd be one crazy dinner! Thanks girls for all the good times!

Its hard to believe that all these pretty girls are now beautiful mothers raising Heavenly fathers precious children. Ha can you see Skylee going out in a dress like one of those?? Brock would shoot her!!! And he was probably loving it when you guys wore them!! Wow!!! things surely change. And really, usually for the better. There's a few of these gals I love like my own daughters. You are all so beautiful!!!

I love that picture! I agree with you, I'm hiding it from my own daughter because what were we thinking with the dresses? I do have to admit, we didn't really have a choice... it seems like now there are a bunch of stores selling modest dresses but I didn't know about it or it didn't exist back in our day! It's crazy that we are even better friends now, I honestly don't know what I would do without all my girlies!!

Hey this pic is great. I'm glad you posted one too. I too could not get over the dress I was wearing either. I do agree with the comment above...there really weren't many options, since that was the style and there was no such thing as a "modest" dress store. Jay would NEVER allow our girls to wear something like that ever. Jay already gets mad if I put the girls in a bikini. Hilarious. Also, I totally remember you and your date too...he he he! I think we rode in the same car together?! Also I am thinking that something crazy went on after the dance, but I am not quite sure. Good times though. So glad that those are past times.

What beautiful young ladies! As the mom I have to comment on the quote "what were our mothers thinking letting us out of the house", I CAN'T WAIT until Jerzi and Libbi get to go dress shopping with you! Anyway I am so proud of all these girls and their accomplishments in life.
