Mothers day and more..

What a wonderful day. To celebrate all the great women in our lives. I had the funnest weekend, starting out with bunco on Friday night where I won the big prize!! Woo hoo!! It was a cute flower basket and a big tall shepards hook to hang it on! What could be better this time of year?!? Thanks Melissa! Then Saturday I ran my first 5k since having Libbi, the Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure in Salt Lake. There were 18,000 people there! That's right, i did not add an extra zero..18,000!! Holy cow what a tribute to women!! It was great to see the support for these poor women who struggle with this horrible trial in their lives. I pray one day that we can really find a cure for this horrible horrible disease. Sunnee, Jana, Brock and Whitnie ran it too! (and Sherice was amongst the 18,000 but we never saw her..) It was Sunnee's first 5k, good job Sunshine!! Then Jana and I took off to Park City to shop for the day.. We had a blast shopping! Last night we had dinner at Kurts parents for Mothers day and she gave us girls a pedicure! Love it!! This morning Koy brought me breakfast in bed that he made all by himself.. so what if it was cheerios, it was so cute of him! The kids gave me some jewelry and a new dress, and Kurt gave me his traditional homemade poem card.. a true favorite! Then today was church where the kids sang songs in sacrament, this is my favorite! I got home to find the house all cleaned up and ready for our party with my family, Kurt is the best! My family came and we had a bbq along with good company, I love to sit outside and play! We have goats next door and the neighbors were walking their llamas! The kids were in heaven.. only in Uintah ha ha!! My mom gave me another pedicure, some steak knives and some new silverware (all very much needed)!! How lucky am I?!? I am so grateful for all the mothers in my life, my mom, Jolene, Netso, Grandma King and all the others who are a daily influence to me! I can't wait to reunite with those who have passed on, like Grandma Loujean. I would love to have her here today to help me be a better mother. I know she is watching over me and I hope I am making her proud!

Us with our kids, what great dads to drag all of them there to see us finish! Even though they didn't see us.. they tried, but there were WAY too many people! We're lucky we found each other!
