The last 2 Fridays we have been canning! The first week we did peaches, which took all day but were pretty simple and easy. This last Friday we decided to try salsa! How hard can it be, right?? Well it was a MESS! We had dropped tomatoes, thanks to Jana!! Ha ha it was so funny, the bottom just fell right out and she didn't realize it until she was stepping on tomatoes! We ended up making 92 jars of salsa!! It is so yummy so worth all the mess. Just a word of advice though, if you're going to make salsa plan on about 12 hours from beginning to end! And that was with 4 people helping!! AHH!! The kids all had fun playing in the backyard, there were 11 kids with just ours then some extra neighbor kids dropped by so it was a PARTY!!

I have also been dabbling in the canning department lately...I haven't gotten to posting it yet. I am really struggling with the blogging lately. Anyways, canning is kind of a pain, but the great thing is you have all of this yummy food to store. I feel like a squirrel or something lately as I've been working on storing food. Yes, I am one of those freak-o's who thinks the world is coming to an end, and we are going to survive on our food storage. Hee Hee. I've got a LONG way to go though. I really am a BLABBER MOUTH!!! Call me- I miss you!!
